Nancy Silverman
Biography

Nancy Silverman, Executive Director of Gallery C has been an art dealer in Los Angeles since 1986, working mainly with California artists. Starting her career as Assistant Director for the prestigious Karl Bornstein in Santa Monica. She continued to work for high profile galleries until the launch of the Nancy Silverman Gallery in Silverlake, CA. After the close of the gallery she continued to consult privately until accepting her position at Gallery C in February 2002.

Nancy has the pleasure of helping owners Michael Napoliello and Jason Moskowitz realize their dream of opening this exciting new gallery. Some of her reasonability’s included working with the award wining designers/architects of Graft, curating all upcoming exhibitions, staffing and building relationships with some of the most interesting artists California has to offer.

Her education includes Massachusetts College and then her desires to paint in France lead her to Universite Paris-Sorbonne for her junior year abroad. She was the youngest member on an executive committee at the Boston Museum of Fine Art and assisted Executive Director, Wesley Jesup in launching the PMCA and secured corporate sponsorship from Wells Fargo Bank for the Pasadena Museum of California Art.

Hermosa Beach conjures up a lot of wonderful images of beautiful beaches, people, sunsets as well as the fun bars and restaurants that surround the gallery. We hope to add to that impressive list; Gallery C will become the destination for collectors interested in exceptional California painters and sculptures. Nancy has had the opportunity to view the work of thousands of artists before the opening of the gallery and is excited to unveil those chosen in our upcoming exhibitions.
